Over
the last eleven years, Liz has been providing psychology services to
children and their families from a diverse range of cultures.
She has worked in a number of settings, including private,
charity and government organizations.
Liz
is currently working part-time at the Chatswood Assessment Centre (a
service of the Royal North Shore Hospital), specialising in assessment
of children aged 0-6 years who have developmental delays or disorders.
Previously, she worked on a similar specialist assessment team
for the Department of Aging, Home Care and Disability in Leichhardt and
has extensive knowledge of services available in the inner west.
Prior to these positions, Liz worked in several settings offering
intensive skills building programmes and behavioural support programmes
to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
Liz
has extensive experience in the following areas:

Development Scales)

difficulties assessments

behavioural
assessments of children (at home, pre-school or school)

behavioural
advice and support regarding toddlers and children

behavioural
advice and support for children with special needs, including ADHD,
delayed development and disabilities (including autism and autism
spectrum disorder)

management training for parents

parenting advice and support
·
treatment
of childhood anxiety and low self esteem
